I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. While there, Dr. Ivar Lovaas’ Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) course served as the catalyst for over 23 years of working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and a variety of other presenting issues. I completed a master’s and doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.  I have experience in a variety of settings including homes, hospitals, private and public schools. For the past several years, I have served as a Subject Matter Expert for the California Board of Psychology, helping to develop the California Psychology Laws and Ethics Examination for psychologists seeking licensure.  

I am a strong believer in trying new things and when I am not working, my family and I can be found eating at a new restaurant, trying out a new recipe, or exploring a new place, near or far.  Our most recent adventures took us to Italy and Hawaii and this year we plan to visit Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Japan!  We can learn so much just be immersing ourselves in someone else's world, including Mother Nature's!
